Liz Lester was born and raised in Saco, ME, among the Pine Trees and the Ocean. Her training began at the Maine State Ballet lead by artistic director Linda McArthur Miele and Gail Cosboth. Liz later transitioned to Portland Ballet with artistic director Nell Shipman, and trained by Sabir Yapparov. Liz became an apprentice with the company and had the honor of performing in some of her dream ballet roles. While in Maine, Liz was an acive memember in the theater community and other local dance scenes.​
Liz made her transition to NYC in 2018 and quickly booked her first National tour, "Finding Neverland" under the direction of Mia Walker and Camden Loeser. She was a part of the Dance Ensemble/Miss.Potter, understudying Mary Barrie and Wendy Darling. At the top of 2020 Liz took on a featured role with the Company, Miss. Bassett and understudied Mrs. DuMaurier and Mary Barrie, right before the world came to close. ​
As the world began to open again, Liz booked the CHICAGO National Tour, joining the company as Hunyak understudy Mama Morton/Velma Kelley, in the 25th Anniversary run of touring! Set by the amazing Tania Nardini and Gary Chryst, her heart goes out to both of them for entrusting her to be apart of the Chicago legacy and family. Liz had the honor of taking the show to South Korea, sharing the magic with audience in Seoul, Daegu, and Busan!
​Liz most recently finished her run with the tour in the role of Go-To-Hell-Kitty and understudy Velma Kelley, fearlessly lead by David Hyslop and Greg Butler.
